THE WARMEST WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOLS!

Remembrance loan box

We’re thrilled to have schools and colleges returning to visit the museum with groups this academic year!

If you’re contemplating Learning Outside the Classroom, here’s the latest feedback we received from a visiting primary school.

I wanted to put in writing just how fantastic our day was with you all yesterday at Bodmin Keep. Every single child had the most brilliant day, loved every aspect of their trip and learnt so much. Your workshops were fantastic as they’re well-resourced and catered for all. Your team were so warm and welcoming and really put the children at ease. The rapport the ex-military personnel had with the children during the team building sessions, and the skills they brought out in them were unbelievable. In my ten years of teaching in London and Cornwall, I can honestly say that yesterday was, hands down, one of the best school trips I have ever taken my children on in terms of the learning, depths of understanding, value for money, engagement and enjoyment! If you would like to organise a school visit or book to loan one of our loans boxes for outreach learning, please contact leah.mason@bodminkeep.org.uk

We’d love to chat to you!

Teaching Remembrance

Did you know the museum now has a Remembrance themed loans box for schools which can be hired?

This contains objects which illustrate how people remembered their loved ones who took part in the First and Second World Wars.  Ahead of Remembrance Day the museum will be uploading a new video to our YouTube channel showing how to paint a field step by step.  The video was created by artist Simon Roberts. Watch our social media channels for its release!
