Arriving at the Musuem

We have a free car park at the rear of the building with limited spaces.

We are a dog-friendly museum.

The museum is divided across two floors and therefore accessed by two flights of stairs there is no available wheelchair access. We have seating in every gallery and stalls to stand on to see into cabinets raised off the ground.

Our archive, library and large meeting room are fully accessible so if you wish to see or learn about a particular item or aspect of history, please get in touch and we will do all we can to assist.

Pushchairs and mobility aids can be stored on the ground floor or carried up the stairs into the museum.
