Cornwall’s Regimental Museum will be on the road over the coming weeks, and as well as our fantastic programme of events for this year, we are also excited to be getting out and about to meet some of our supporters!
Tornado, 31st May – 4th June
First off we’ll be heading over to Bodmin and Wenford Railway to help them celebrate the arrival of Tornado. We’ll have a stand at the railway between the 31st May and the 4th June, to celebrate Tornado’s visit. The stand will be manned on the first and second day only, however if you have any questions for us or want to find out more, we’re not far away! It’s also worth a mention that Bodmin and Wenford Railway ticket-holders receive up to 40% off our museum admission prices!

Grand Family History Day, 3rd June
Next up, some of our research team will be heading to Liskeard for the Grand Family History Discovery Day on the 3rd of June, where visitors will be able to find out more about our records and archives, and how to go about discovering their family’s military past. Royal Cornwall Show, 8th and 9th June
The Rifles Regiment have kindly allowed us to share their hospitality tent at the Royal Cornwall Show on Thursday the 8th and Friday the 9th June. If you’re planning to attend the Royal Cornwall Show we’d like to invite you to visit us between 10:00am and 12:00 noon, and 2:00pm and 4:00pm at stand 299, map reference B2. We will be offering light refreshments, and would love to talk to you about what we’ve been doing and our future plans for the museum.

Light Infantry Reunion, 17th June
Last but definitely not least, we’re extremely excited to announce that Cornwall’s Regimental Museum will be present at the Light Infantry Reunion in Shrewsbury on the 17th June. We’re proud to be home to the national Light Infantry collection, and we would love to share the collection and our plans with Light Infantrymen nationwide.

The museum is strongly connected to its military family, past and present, and we are delighted to host the annual Light Infantry Association Rally Day each September. This year the Rally Day will take place on Saturday the 9th of September.
